Kathryn Hampton
UnLocal Board Secretary Kathryn Hampton is the Head of Impact at Rainbow Railroad, a global not-for-profit organization that helps LGTBQI+ people facing persecution based on their sexual orientation, gender identity and sex characteristics. She has 15 years experience in refugee protection, research and advocacy, working with the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, the International Rescue Committee, the International Commission on Missing Persons and Physicians for Human Rights, in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Iraq, Turkey, Ukraine and the U.S.-Mexico border. Her research has been published in peer reviewed journals and cited in the New York Times, the Washington Post, the Guardian and the BBC. She holds an M.St. in International Human Rights Law from the University of Oxford, an M.A. in Refugee Protection and Forced Migration Studies from the University of London and an A.B. in Comparative Literature from Princeton University.
