Dennise Hernandez
Dennise Hernandez (they / them) is passionate about social change and advocacy for immigrant
communities. They believe in making education, dignity, and opportunity accessible to all,
irrespective of immigration status, and they have past experience in nonprofit development,
grassroots organizing, and policy research. As UnLocal’s Manager of Outreach and Partnerships,
they oversee program development and frequently facilitate community workshops on topics
salient to immigrant New Yorkers. They hold a B.A. in Government from Dartmouth College
and are currently pursuing a Masters in Social Work with a clinical focus at CUNY’s Silberman
School of Social Work.
