Becky Smith
Becky Smith is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) based in New York City. She specializes in issues of interdisciplinary legal-social work practice, complex migration trauma and has worked with immigrant survivors of violent crime across the United States & Mexico. She is currently a Senior Staff Social Worker with the Immigrant Rights and Advocacy Project at Bronx Legal Services. She holds a Master’s degree in Social Work from the School of Social Service Administration from the University of Chicago and has completed two post-Master’s Certificates in Advanced Clinical Studies and Advanced Assessment and Diagnosis from New York University. She regularly administers training and community outreach for organizations across New York on the topic of providing trauma-informed services for non-citizen crime victims and sits on the Steering Committee for the Bronx Immigration Partnership. She is a proud member, former bargaining team participant and current delegate with the Legal Services Staff Association 2320, and is dedicated to bettering workplace rights for all workers. She is fluent in Spanish and lives in East Harlem with her husband and their two cats.
