UnLocal, Inc. is a community-centered non-profit organization that provides direct immigration legal representation and community education to New York City’s undocumented immigrant communities. Our Education and Outreach team believe that education is a tool for advocacy and strive to empower immigrant communities by connecting them with key resources. We prioritize mutual education as a learning tool to collaborate with our partners and community members to create accessible presentations, webinars, clinics, and events. We intend to destigmatize any misconceptions of immigration law and the socio-political narrative that accompanies it.
The Education Department at the Whitney Museum of American Art is dedicated to engaging in that practice, and to promoting diverse voices within American art and our community. Focusing especially on those who have been historically marginalized, we place the learner at the center of our programs and resources.
